In this chapter, Roger and Garp sound like me when I talk about Haki…
Armament Haki is capable of blocking Devil Fruits, which is nothing new since the biggest monster in the manga had such overwhelming Haki that it could negate Law’s attacks — with Law himself saying that Kaidou and Big Mom’s Haki was so strong that it could shut down parts of his abilities.

SO NEXT TIME WE USE CONQUEROR'S HAKI, WE SHOULD CHANNEL ALL OF OUR MASS INTO IT?!

It all comes down to channeling more Haki and putting everything you have into the attack — not “raising” your Haki level. Which means, if what you need is to increase the volume/channeling of Haki, then what’s better?

A dragon the size of an island, with an insanely massive body that you have to fully coat — and coating something that big requires a huge, overwhelming amount of Haki. The same applies to Luffy’s giant fist.

I was actually going to bring that up, I was just waiting for someone to reply. Roger and Garp would run from an endurance fight, but Kaidou is the god of the verse in that regard. LMAO
Even 21-year-old Kaidou tanked attacks from Xebec — attacks that left Roger and Garp seriously injured — as if they were nothing, and he came out completely unharmed. Oda is making it even clearer.

I think that’s why he ran from Big Mom — he didn’t want a war of attrition with her. Their Haki levels are all comparable, with Kaidou even being able to raise his Haki output in his drunken mode. So they would just end up canceling each other out, and in the end, Kaidou would triumph due to his absurd endurance and his final attack — which, let’s say, only Luffy, the new messiah and Joyboy, could push Kaidou to that point. Anyone else would just die to the Death Destroyer.

--I mean how much even is the gap when it comes to acoc between Kaido and someone like garp or roger.

--Oda had yamato compare Kaido-Luffy sky split to roger-WB sky split so the haki gap isn't that big.

--If roger/garp's acoc is 100 then Kaido's acoc is 80-90.

--Add in huge island level magma fire mode to it and Kaido's attack should surpass garp/roger's attack if he use all his haki at once like them.

To the matter of fact Kaidou clowned even g5 saying haki transcends all. And roger was the evidence to it lmao. Nothing suggest Kaidou Haki is weaker than Roger.

It's made nonsensical by people.

Luffy who just unlocked AdCoC was fighting Kaidou.

Kaidou who's master at AdCoC doesn't compare to Roger is an even bigger joke.

Kaidou and Bigmom clash was shaking entire Onigashima, I repeat entire Onigashima.

In fact, there isn’t a single indicator that says Kaidou’s Haki is weaker than Roger’s. Kaidou is actually the only guy who directly overpowered Luffy’s Haki — and Luffy’s Haki was strong enough to split the skies just like Roger’s in a direct Haki clash.

It’s hard to believe that a guy who has it engraved in his mind that “Haki surpasses everything” wouldn’t have a monstrous Haki that surpasses Roger’s.
Only Joyboy, man. Only Joyboy can surpass Kaidou. Forget Roger and the others.

I dont think the size example works here, this is a misunderstanding.
Otherwise, a bigger character would always win because they use haki on a bigger surface...
It is about gathering all your haki into one attack, depleting all reserves to break through or die.

This scene is basically a Zoro vs Kaido v2.0.
Zoro tells the exact same thing to Law - if we dont break through we die. And goes to put all his might into one attack.
Exactly as I explained in the past, going blow for blow vs Kaido/DomiXebec is a suicide tactic, you dont win a battle of attrition vs monsters.

Also, I am still of the opinion that Kaido's Blazing Bagua used no haki whatsoever.
