There are two lines of thought on this...
You can think Fattora and Twearkbull are just two bums whose one is a fat bozo out of shape, non-logia user and lack of feats, and the other who got clowned by God King's powerful Haki, pushing down the Admiral agenda and making readers believe Admirals~YCs. It is C3> new admirals bozos.

You can think Fujitora and Greenbull are two goats whose one is an Supreme Grade blade user(potentially ACoC) plus broken Paramecia, and the other who has an Black Blade and negg diffed YC1s plus Weevil, upscaling Admiral agenda and ending the Admirals~YCs nonsense. It is C3~New admirals chads

Im not seeing any issues at all with Shanks' timeline. Chapter 1082 has him explicitly stating he'll be a pirate 24 years ago but he's not going after One Piece yet. He even invites Buggy to join him there. Chapter 0 has him looking for Yassop 22 years ago, which implies he had his crew already.
Between 22 and 15 years ago is when he went to Mariejoa. Clearly this was closer to 15, since he acts like a greenhorn in front of his brother at this time. Then 14 years ago he seemingly quit but couldnt get rid of the mark until 12 years prior when he loses his arm.
We dont actually know anything else directly. Clearly his crew supported him doing this, and Im not seeing anything else that contradicts when he fought Teach or dueled Mihawk
