Why would I be? There’s no indication that Kaidou ever clashed with Roger after God Valley, but there is for Shiki, right?
And what we get from that instance is that Shiki couldn’t even draw his fight with Roger to be considered his equal — he ended up with a steering wheel stuck in his head.

Kaidou never fought Roger, so no, Kaidou is exempt. If he had confronted Roger, then you’d actually have an argument.

To make it clearer, any pirate who never fought Roger still has the chance to prove they can match him. Those who did fight him and didn’t receive that kind of portrayal have no one claiming that people simply failed to recognize them as his equals. They just didn’t reach that status.

I don’t know, what I do know is that Garp and Roger fought many times to the death. Whitebeard and Roger ended in a draw on panel, with Buggy saying he’s the only man to ever match Roger, and the narrator later confirming the same in Marineford. And Shiki… well, he ended up with a steering wheel stuck in his head, and nobody thinks he’s Roger’s equal. In Chapter 0 itself he’s practically kissing Roger’s ass harder than anyone has ever done in this manga.
Roger and Shikis fight ended canonically in a draw because the storm saved Roger and immediately before this Buggy was begging Roger not to fight him because he knew they couldn’t win.

Literally the omniscient narrator considered him Roger’s equal. Whitebeard considered him as an equal as well. Two Roger equals fought Shiki 2v1 and the fight was close.

Like did you even read chapter 0

Well, the storm wasn’t something Roger or Shiki could control. That’s different from Roger walking away nearly dead after fighting Garp, or from Roger and Whitebeard stopping their fight evenly. That didn’t happen with Shiki — they didn’t stop because they were both nearly dead or evenly matched, so they weren’t considered equals.
To me it looks like Roger was bullying Shiki. The guy ended up with a steering wheel stuck in his head… Imagine Roger doing that to the almighty Whitebeard? It would never happen.

That storm canonically is the reason Roger was able to walk away at all as it was stated it gave Roger a chance to flee from inevitable destruction. The fight stopped because Roger had to run away from the fight. If you think Roger fleeing is bullying then you just don’t read.

Roger didn’t put the Steering wheel in Shikis head

Again don’t comment if you didn’t read the chapter cause you clearly have zero idea what you’re talking about

My reference is the narrator declaring the fight a draw

Dude referenced buggy talking about Whitebeard so I pointed out how buggy treated Shiki

What's with the beef between Yonko bros and Shiki bros again? :risisweat:
Yonko bros can’t stand that Shiki is stronger than their faves

I don’t know. What I do know is that, even with the overwhelming numerical advantage on his side, out at sea, and with a larger fleet, Roger — against all those odds — ended up driving a helm into the skull of the man who was supposedly his equal. And that guy walked out of that battle with the helm stuck in his head. Buggy, who witnessed the entire fight and much later as an older man, said that Whitebeard was the only person capable of rivaling Roger, even though Shiki actually has a recorded instance of fighting him.

After that, the narrator confirms it in Marineford. And finally, the crazy Golden Lion, still with the helm stuck in his skull thanks to Roger, goes to Marineford to shout and kiss up to Roger in front of all the Marines — and ends up defeated.

I get Shiki. If I ended up with a helm stuck in my skull after fighting someone, I’d probably kiss up to that person too, because it would actually make me feel better. :suresure::suresure::suresure::suresure:

Which part of “they didn’t stop fighting evenly” did you not understand? Like I said, the guy came out almost dead after fighting Garp, and after three days he stopped fighting Whitebeard because they weren’t getting anywhere — both were evenly matched.

Against Shiki, the storm took all of that away from him, which is why Shiki can’t be considered Roger’s equal, man. The storm didn’t allow him to earn either of the two portrayals — in fact, not even the third one, because he could’ve ended up with the “loser” portrayal as well.

Bro you need to log off. You use ai for most of your shitty ass posts and all of your posts are dedicated to a villain that's been dead for three years now. You need to leave this obsession with Kaido behind

It wasn't a fight, it was a battle. The Oro Jackson was vastly outnumbered in ships at least 1 vs 10. Shiki mentioned manpower and idk if you've noticed Oda trying to emphasize that in Dressrosa or Onigashina, but that tends to matter quite a lot.

If you somehow assume (because you have no proof) that Roger vs Shiki took place, then you also have to remember fuckin Sengoku saying that Roger would win against him at Marineford.

It was a fight. The narrator literally said it was a fight between Gold Roger and Golden Lion Shiki

And Sengoku said that because Roger was able to escape their last fight so Roger may be able to escape this one.

You’re grasping at straws lmao

Dude, I'm sorry, I don't know what your goal is, ignoring the clear representation of Shiki below Roger, Whitebeard, Big Mom, and the supreme monster Kaido.

But my list isn't going to change, Shiki is weaker than all the emperors.
There’s no such representation. Shikis canonical standing in the verse is = Roger and Whitebeard.

Just cause that doesn’t fit your narrative doesn’t mean it’s not the truth.

Grasping at straws is bringing up a movie tie-in chapter event that was off panel from 14 years ago. As if Oda hasn't had revisions at all even with the things he was clear about lol

You said literally, so please show me the Japanese.
