Dude who cares? The point is that she needs a giant army to kill all the other Yonko and become the king (technically queen but the title is just king for some reason) of the pirates.
Even if we assume she didn't mean that she can't get past Whitebeard himself, we already have multiple other statements that put him above her.

Big mom wants an army so she can finally defeat Whitebeard. Even if her crew is weaker, if she were comparable she’d be able to find a way, look at Roger vs Shiki.
Besides none of this changes that the great pirate era, the era where Whitebeard Kaido and big mom were competing was stated to be Whitebeards era where he was the king of the seas. And that the power didn’t shift till after he died.

They aren’t. Big Mom and Kaido are walled by Whitebeard as they want to become the Pirate Kings. Whitebeard wants nothing of the sort. At this point he has his dream, and he’s just fighting to protect them. So he has no reason to agress on any other yonko.

Too early to powerscale Roger. Cant say anything until we see his flashback. Keep in mind that he was a side character in god valley. It is rocks and harald's flashback. Story wise roger should be the strongest pirate though, with whitebeard being the only one who could match him. Only characters like imu joyboy and eos luffy (and maybe eos teach) will be above him. We have seen him in 3 fights up until now. Vs prime whitebeard, demon rocks and oden. First one seemed like a tie, second one he held pretty good considering that demon rocks in unstoppable and lastly oden was negged. And i dont thing that oden was much weaker than the one who fought kaido.
