1. An illusion from Zoro’s will (soul)

2. Something Zoro considers his “all out” which permanently scarred Kaido like AdvCoC does.

We have seen the ceiling of Haki in the verse, Both Joyboy and Imu are in play doing CoC attacks all over the place, we’ve seen extreme diff Roger and Garp in Combat.

We have seen a combat veteran, Kaido, appear shocked at the sight of Ashura. It is now clear that No one in the verse has anything like Ashura.

we will not get answers from any other character besides Zoro on what Ashura is. Neither Hakiman Shanks or Mihawk will ever pull out their own Ashura ever. No one in the verse knows what this is.

Will is haki. Its most likely armament haki. Conquerors haki is not related to winning your death match. Conquerors haki stems from your will to be the supreme king. Armament haki is directly related to winning your battle and thats zoros specialty.

When I compare all the details it becomes more clear. This was a manifestation of zoros will to win his death match and save Robin. He needed to win. So he did.

Lets not forget tho. Pre time skip shows many hints towards haki usage by the monster trio. Sanji used CoO in little garden and thriller bark. Zoro used armament in ennies lobby. This isnt strange. Its just a reflection of the stories overall narrative in hindsight.
