Powers & Abilities Lost in translation, Harald Haki is on a whole different level compared to Kaido, Prime WB etc.

You can ask translators as well, the Kanji used is not knocked out but completely erased.
And any genuine translator will tell you it's not to be taken literally.

Basically their clash was "It erased every human silhouette within a 5km diameter"
Their haki blinded everyone around. That's why silouettes disappeared. The amount of power generated by the clash exploded into light, much like it happens with an actual detonation.

AI overview

The clash between Luffy (Gear 5) and Kaido at the end of the Wano Arc was so immense that its vibrations and impact were felt thousands of miles away.

Key details regarding the scale of this clash include:

Distance: According to the Road to Laughtale source, the shockwaves and reverberations from their final clash were felt for thousands of miles.

Visual Impact: The haki from the clash was visible for a massive distance, traveling far beyond the immediate vicinity of Onigashima.

Magnitude: This impact far exceeded other clashes in the series, such as the 5 km radius impact from Rocks or earlier sky-splitting clashes, requiring the maximum power of their respective Devil Fruits and Advanced Conqueror's Haki.
Bajrung vs Flame bagua clash was felt 1600 Km away. Please.
This is legit funny. Luffy vs. Kaido was felt in a different continent, these guys are talking about 5 km.

Erased/Eradicated does not mean that people actually died.. Oda used these wordings in so many situation and yet people lived.. Now go back to the chapter and see the panels again.. people in Mariejois were screaming the panel after their clash and Rocks told Herald to strike again and they still screamed after... soooo ... Oda just wanted to hype them up and that is it.

Same databook immensely respects Whitebeard

Pushing forward, expanding his power.
Becoming the boss of Hachinosu, once a fortress,
he advances a hunt for ability users.
Now making it the stronghold of Rocks,
he stands as the very eye of the storm of this era.
Rising to fame by seizing territory,
he defeated the great pirate Whitebeard—
the man said to be ‘the strongest,’
and Roger’s greatest rival.

Who is "he" in this context? Is it Rocks?
