Kaido only had King with him against Shanks so they logically dipped. Loki is also by himself. Loki called him a coward, also carried him AND Gaban against Harald. Shanks isn’t dumb to challenge Loki in a 1v1.

why does Loki think he's the sun god for having Nidhogg?
Maybe it's a new entity Oda created.

If the "Nidhogg" that Loki ate looks like the laughing dragon nidhogg dream monster that Kiringham summoned from childrens fear (probably, maybe the kids witnessed him flying off years ago) then it also looks a lot like the dragon in the middle of the Harley mural, the one that looks like its on the adam tree. It has his horns, and we know the giants of elbaf argue over how to interpret their texts and the mural. So Loki who thinks Nika will destroy the world probably saw a cool laughing dragon and said "woah that must be the laughing sun god that ends the world!" Maybe a Giant brat like Loki woculd think a dragon that burns everything down is more important than some stretchy guy that looks like hes one of those puny humans anyway.

Additionally, maybe because the fruit wasn't actually eaten for either centuries or millenia, maybe the people assumed that the legendary fruit would be the sun god, or the mission kinda got lost in translation. Or maybe even the fruit did get swapped, but it wasn't by shanks; it was 800 years ago. Maybe hes even like Kaku and hes just coping.

I 1000% believe Gryphon ate the Mythical Gryphon Zoan. Would fit with Cerberus being a dog, and Gryphon being a bird; Shamrock has always been chasing Shanks, his brother who flies free, whereas Cerberus guards the "Hell" of Marijoa (what Sabo referred to is upon seeing the Gorosei and Imu transform).

If Ratatoskr is Ragnir, and Loki is Nidhogg... and Ratatoskr communicates between the Eagle and Nidhogg...

Shanks' Gryphon is most likely the Eagle at the Top of the World Tree, Ragnir is Ratatoskr, and Loki Nidhogg.

So, I'd expect Ratatoskr to have a good relationship with Shanks, or at least better than Loki does.

If Shanks stopped Loki from attacking Marijoa 6 years ago, to save Loki from a suicide mission, it would make sense for Ragnir to respect Shanks for keeping Loki from throwing his life away to seek revenge.

See I thought on the same lines but with a difference.

In the myth Ratatoskr is actually a slanderer. He carries insults from eagle to dragon and incites them against each other.

Which is why I theorise that Ratatoskr manipulated Loki and Shanks against each other and has been manipulating Loki himself to a degree.

RHPs > Beast Pirates. But that's cause Kaido has bums as subordinates. Nothing to do with Kaido 1 on 1. If Shanks beat him, he wouldn't be known as the WS pirate, as Zoro/Killer confirmed.

Mythical Zoan agenda failed so Oda's trying it with 2 Mythical Zoans for a single fighter which won't change anything.

Only Logia and Logia Awakening can save this manga.

Just because he doesn’t know what it’s called doesn’t mean that he can’t use it on command LOL.

Gaban isn’t teaching anyone anything. Loki already carried Gaban’s much younger self against Harald. Even knowing that Luffy beat Kaido, Gaban is still wary of leaving Loki unchecked. He needed to see Luffy’s chosen one form with his own eyes before feeling reassured. Maybe you’re the one who needs to read between the lines.
