Thats why I think itll be called "Elbaf". Given that Oda has yet to have any Giant reference God Elbaf again or even the God of War, something tells me that this is meant to be the retcon of that.

That's the mistake you're constantly making at analyzing Magellan's abilities because you do not take in account that pre skip didn't have fancy Haki abilities like Future Sight, hardening, Ryuo, barrier Haki or all the other extra stuff.
So obviously, Magellan would just look like some pure DF merchant who can do nothing else but this guy tanked two Jet Bazooka's to his stomach and still fought like it was nothing. He fought against Ivankov and took some attacks as well.
If he's just some Caribou level guy, Ivankov could just legit one shot him. Since that wasn't the case, it's just pure evidence that Magellan's own resilience and Haki is on a high level when he was just somewhat bruised after fighting with Ivankov.
Yes, Magellan relies on his DF a lot but it doesn't mean he'd be negged by characters like pre skip Law who can theoretically just cut his poison in half with ease due to hax. He wouldn't be Shiryu's equal if he had no Haki because one thing is clear, a pure Hydra isn't stopping Shiryu's slashes either, unless Magellan uses Haki as well.

This is my only problem with the idea of someone like Loki being an absolute monster with 2 fruits at his disposal and ACoC
