Speculations Open dialogue is better than forcing your views down people's throats

Who is Rootbeer supposed to be? Maybe thats why its like arguing with a brick wall lmao
No, interestingly enough, you'll see me disagree with both TAC and Rootbeer, but I respect both of them. I respect HAO001 and Erkan both at the same time too.

I must be weird lol

Disagreement can drive positive change. It offers opportunities to learn, to grow, to form new ideas we hadn't thought of before. It all depends on how we handle disagreement.

My choice is to try to handle it with grace and decorum. When I speak, my goal is to achieve further understanding. It may be unsuccessful sometimes, even the majority of the time, but I don't believe I gain much by just shutting people down whenever I think differently.

Does anyone disagree?
- I believe there is no need for all the arguing. That type of engagement doesn't benefit everybody.
- I prefer win/win situations. Open dialogue is a win/win where we prefer just to air out our ideas.
- Forcing your opinion down people's throats is a win/lose situation, and I think only abrasive individuals prefer that.
Let's put it in a test, then. Give me some of your negative opinions about Sanji, and I will talk you out one of them.

I don't have many negative opinions about him.
- That doesn't mean I glaze him or something, that just means I don't think about it much.

Let's see... Sanji hasn't done much Post TS to show he has developed world class level Observation Haki. Zoro has approached world class level Armament Haki feats, so I think he's not showing development in that area. Where's the special Observation abilities he supposedly has? The best he's got is he dodged a bean 🫘 Usopp has done more than he has by seeing people's auras through walls. Sanji is therefore a bum.

Sadly, certain people are too egoistic and smooth brained. They deserve to be insulted for the absolute embarrassment they bring on to the human race with their plague level stupidity.

It's just the way it is, making a thread about it sadly won't make any difference. It's part of a much bigger, omnipresent problem on the internet.

If you're a new member, some users will refuse to interact with you and ignore your quotes because they only value well-known members.
You make a dark humor joke, you get shat on and permanently ignored by a weirdo taking advantage of the like system in threads you post in to show you how much they resent you.
You say a character has a relative AP issue against his opponents, you get shat on by fanatics who can't argue properly.
You publicly defend someone for doing the right thing, that someone starts treating you badly because you supposedly snitched on them or whatever.
Not to mention vengeful members going as far as spreading lies in private conversations to make people you get along with suddenly turn on you.
Etc.

And you know what you should do about such things? Nothing, just ignore it and move on. Someone trying to force their views on others is pretty far down on the list of fucked up things you gotta deal with on the internet and if that's all it takes to affect you, you won't last long before deciding you had enough and leaving.

Some people are gonna go crazy and be excessively resentful for the most trivial things because they're socially challenged, which is the real issue. Obviously not everyone is like that, there's a lot of decent people, but toxic members is the kind of thing you have to accept dealing with regularly on anime forums because it's the kind of place that attracts those socially challenged people like bees to a honeypot. It's their one window to life in society.

It's not an issue you can expect to make go away by being all sunshine and rainbows, but you can't let that affect your own behavior and drag you down. At the end of the day, you can't control people's actions, you're only responsible for how you choose to respond to those things.

To this, the point I'm making is that there is an alternative to just passively accepting the culture that persists. It's called a counterculture.

The counterculture I propose is optimistic in that we can strive for collaboration, in place of competition, and problem-solving, in place of problem-aggravating, but how we do that is leading through example. If people see that we can have balanced discussions and sensibility, then we can encourage others to do the same.

That can only last so long, their ego will get the better of them sooner or later and insults will start flying. I've seen it so many times.

Not everyone has the discipline and maturity to debate like adults without losing their cool and it's especially true for people who don't experience life in society often enough to manage the frustration coming from their views being challenged. The less they're exposed to social environments, the more they will get offended by someone disagreeing with them.

Like, encouraging people to be better is a good thing, props to you for that. But with the overwhelming majority of those who can't do it already, it will fail and you gotta get used to it.

@Sir Yasheen @Rumble :seriously:

Neither Wing has advanced techniques in their speciality.

Sanji’s Observation feats are much better than Zoro’s Armament feats. Sanji warrants being called a specialist. Zoro doesn’t.

That’s mostly because Oda considers it a sin for Zoro to learn Haki techniques before Luffy.
Oda made ACoA and gave Zoro it first. He had it before we saw anyone else even use basic Armament in verse..

Yeah the Idea of Zoro not having AdCoC is not very well accepted..

Just realized I posted the wrong panel
I think you make a very good point and you provided supporting evidence with panels.

The invisible armor that stems from the body does seem to be what people refer to as AdCoA. Personally, I do consider that the invisible armor constitutes a form of equipment for armaments in the use of Armament Haki, so that's in line with my thoughts that Zoro has made progress.

I am wondering, though, if Observation Haki abilities go unnoticed a majority of the time. What I would like to see from Sanji is an actual Observation Haki ability that we can recognize being unique to him and which puts him above other Observation Haki users like Katakuri.

Zoro has done plenty, and we didn't even get to the possibility of discussing his AdCoC potential yet.

I am hoping that there are Observation Haki abilities and forms of mastery we haven't seen. There's a lot of buzz surrounding the use of Conqueror's Haki, but I'd like to see the mastery of the other forms too.
