When I read that statement, what personally stood out to me is Loki's DF first and foremost as that is what is being emphasized here and the subject which is "killing immmortals" so there might be some relation btw the two.
Imu thinking Harald was unbeatable is a fair assesment given how strong he was along with Imu's buff but let's not forget that he is also supposed to be "immortal/unkillable" so Imu being shocked he was killed is understandable.
