Lmao it is up there. I agree that the best ops collectively are with the old big shounen anime. Alot of songs nowadays sound more repetetive, but at the same time that is the fate of music nowadays. There are just so many tunes that can be played, and humanity exhausted most of them lol
Definitely man. Rhapsody of Youth still brings a tear to my eye.

LOL

Fair enough
I like a good story over anything else too, but it's just hard to find good stuff sometimes
The problem with anime getting so popular nowadays is that a lot of people don't have to try too hard to appease certain audiences, or the people who do try hard don't get enough of a following
It's a very frustrating industry sometimes but it happens in every industry. Same with music and television
Yeah, that is so true. I also hate the whole idea of industryplanting. So much stuff out there that just feels unorganic or catering towards a controversing mass of people.

2000s imo. Just having Death Note and Code Geass alone means it wins by default, nothing like those two shows came before them and nothing has come since. I genuinely got tricked into thinking this medium could produce stuff like that, but it was just an anomaly.
Finessed up dumbahh lmao

But it’s 90’s-2000’s, that shit had DBZ, Rurouni Kenshin(fuxk tha author), Gundam, Bleach, Naruto etc

Lol maybe but death note and code geass alone aren't enough to put it above the other eras, you of all people should know that much
Even with the other ones you added I still don't know if the 2000s are the best era in terms of anime/manga. The 90s just had some absolute bangers between things like bebop and berserk
Death Note and Code Geass do put it above the rest as they clear anything else out there.

Berserk, while being an amazing manga, has a horrible anime adaptation.

Pairing up Death Note and Code Geass with Monster, an absolute banger and contender for the best manga of all time as well with an amazing anime adaptation, makes that era stand head and shoulders above the rest.

Then you add classics like Naruto, Bleach, Yugioh Duel Monsters.

Add FMA on top of it.

It's too stacked.

Fair enough, I was just saying it's stupid to claim that Death Note and Code Geass alone put it above any other era. Great stuff, but, come on. Not like the 90s didn't have some amazing animes between Yu Yu Hakusho, Bebop, Dragon Ball, Evangelion, etc., so claiming that the 2000s are just far above it and acting like it's not a debate is a weird decision (even though the 2000s are indeed above the 90s).

Although, I wonder if we can include animes that started in a specific era but were mostly made throughout a different one.

Hajime No Ippo being 2000s anime helps wash the 90s
