Yeah, I also believe the next arc could focus on Gon getting his nen back, or maybe a straight jump to have him his powers back somehow already.
It's also a question of how long HxH is planned to run, b/c if it gets cancelled after the current arc, the maybe the MC stays powerless. If there are lots and lots of arcs to come, then the chance of Gon never getting men back is very slim.
I mean yeah, there's a whole world to explore, but the current serialization pace is worse than OP, I already forgot half of the characters and am waiting for the arc to wrap up so that I can re-read that craziness happening on the ship.

I see it differently, and I see it interweaving.
By the time the Moby Dick reaches the fake Dark Continent, where the Hunter Association is set to bring them new resources, most of the normies on the ship would've died and the Succession War would've concluded. As the survivors (Beyond's faction, the Hunter Association's faction, and Kakin's new king + entourage) set sail for the actual Dark Continent, we cut to Gon and Killua. I expect an arc the two of them against Gyro. There are interesting fan theories that in the Spider's absence, Gyro takes over Meteor City. Then, once this arc is over, we cut back to the actual Dark Continent, with Ging becoming the main POV. And somewhere mid-arc, I expect Gon and Killua to find a way to reach the continent themselves.
In Heaven's Arena, Chrollo had all the necessary preparation to defeat Hisoka, which he did, but he didn't account for post-mortem nen. The three treasures he's stealing from the Kakin family will make sure that Hisoka stays down once and for all.
The tragedy comes from the fact that Chrollo is doing everything in his power so that the Spider will survive him, but by the end of it, he will be the only Spider left standing. The Dark Continent will be where he recruits new members.
