Oda did put Kaido above Mihawk in the SBS.He will have a chance to retcon that.

He thinks Kaido is actually above Mihawk, but that it'll just be retconned later on.

I have something, which is far more than anyone else has tho.

Who else can provide proof of their boy being stronger than some of Kaido's top 5 and still not being included?
Who else can provide proof of their boy having the strongest haki due to strongest weapon?
I suspect Mihawk is stronger than Kaido and I am fine with waiting for Oda to definitely prove it.
I am not desperate unlike the others.

I am suggesting Kaido was the strongest in the world since 28 years ago, when it was stated, all the way until Mihawk reached his peak, which is likely 8 years ago. Basically, Kaido has been the strongest for 20 years. Now, Mihawk is the strongest and thus Kaido's title became a rumor.

The story we are following already had Mihawk as the strongest character since chapter 1 and that is why Oda made both Whitebeard and Kaido significantly older than Mihawk. They are powerhouses from an era that predates Mihawk's era.

While Mihawk already reached his peak, some characters could surpass Kaido in future, such as Blackbeard, who is known for powering up. Shanks and Dragon are relevant as well and could also surpass him by Awakening their Devil fruits, assuming they arent awakened...

He's also admitted he has no proof for Mihawk > Kaido and that he only "suspects" it
But even though Kaido > Mihawk is a take that'd probably get his ass kicked out the temple nobody ever payed attention to it there
