Speculations How long will/should the void century flashback be?

It is arguably the most important flashback in the series, which will determine the legacy of OP.

The problem is, imagine the strawhats finally reaching laughtale, hype is at an all time high and then, similar to now, we don't see them for an entire year. That would be completely wack and would break the momentum and I think Oda himself knows that(at least I hope so).

The flashback also cannot be too short, because there are so many questions that need to be answered.

I personally think we may get the void century flashback, or at least 70% of it before laughtale, what do you guys think?

I can see it going two ways....
Option 1 - really long and detailed flashback for a year or more
Option 2 - Luffy says "nah not interested, let's defeat BB and Imu, take OP and have a big ass party", so we get no flashback at all ......






....a few months later a spinoff manga about Void Century is launched and the story goes on for 100+ chapters.

It forms the basis of this series and from how many times Oda hints towards it it seems be somewhat complex so we'll see what happens. Still got 5+ years left before we even touch that anyway

So at least he can trim the fat and only focus on those 4

- The 20 kingdom
- Joyboy's origin
- Joyboy's journey
- Joyboy's "crew"
- The different prophecy
- The Poneglyph
- The war
- Joyboy, the "One Piece"'s treasure and laughtale
- The will of D.
- Lily
- Imu's origin
- The angels and the lunarians
- The mermaid princess
- The ancient weapons
- The rise of Imu
- The fall of the Ancient Kingdom
- Zunisha's crime and punishment
- The rise of the WG
- Davy D. Jones
- Toki's role
And probably others that I forgot

I don't think we should say that it "should" be that long (that's creation illegitimate expectations) but Oda will have a lot of work to explain everything. It could even be an entire arc that I wouldn't be surprised.

Maybe it will be at pieces,kinda like God Valley,we saw a part of it in Kuma's flashback,and we saw the rest in the Elbaph flashback.
We may see a part of it when we find the One Piece,and another part of it during the Luffy vs Imu fight

No I mean Angels as in both Shandians, Skypieans and the rest of the people who came down from wherever people had angel wings. Shandora felt at the end of the void century along with the ancient kingdom, but both Shandians and skypeople (in general) have wings. So there must be some history here.

I think it will be 1 volume, if Luffy reached LT first then probably Oda will reveal Joyboy part.
For DDJ and Imu, they are going to have their own separate FB.

I wouldn't call it very important. It was most probably just a an outpost, but the angel people are relevant, there must be some in the ancient kingdom. Oda will need to cover that.
