Why does she need to be involved in the arc, to join the crew for the next arc? She completed the Oden journey wano, now next step is joining the Pirate King to laughtale.... like it's pretty simple set up.
Who joined the crew in middle of an arc before Jinbei? nobody.
And I mean the Luffy-Bonney apprentice thing is pretty clear set up to me... but I guess if we wanna keep being in denial about it. Not like Roger also had an apprentice who could do one of his signature moves from a young age..
