Sabo is one of the most hated charachters in one piece and I think he is not that bad

While yes he is essentially just an Ace ripoff created to replace the donut and I don't think he is that bad of an charachters

He is just there I don't think that he is one of the greatest charachters in fiction or anything


And he is not one of the worst characters in the series Espicially when this series has charachters like Kaido,Orochi, Yamato,Monosuke, Sommers, Lozuki Loden who are some of the worst and most unlikeable charachters in anything that I watched/read

And I watched School days , Naruto and Certain Magical Index

On this forum? Probably 50/50, "LolDa" FC hates him for various reasons, while plenty of people like him but dont got enough time be countering hate (like myself).

In the Fandom at large? Sabo is one of the most beloved characters, cause bruh is just a vibe.


Opinion on Sabo's character writing for me serves as a good measurement of somebody's ability to read the Manga properly with honesty. Its one of the 5 topics which I use to decide whether to take somebody serious for a discussion or not.


For example your statement saying "hes just an Ace ripoff created to replace the donut", a braindead take popularized by the "Lolda" FC or insecure Ace fanboys. If we're 1100+ chapters in and your conclusion is Sabo is created as a replacement for Ace, idk what to say for the reading comprehension that would lead to such a terrible take.

If he’s hated for his power level then yeah, he’s obviously above bums like King

if he’s hated for being a shit character then it’s a rightful cause and Oda deserves to be shamed for it

Sabo us like top 10 popular op characters, he's more overrated than overhated.

He's overwanked since his introduction

Even during DR arc, people already though he was Admiral lvl because he "stalled" Issho

Before Reverie conclusion, people claimed he 1v2 Issho and Aramaki

When he got his "Flame Emperor " title people claimed he was Emperor lvl

The next L will be his "antecipated" fight with Akainu.

Sabo surely is one of the most relevant new gen characters but he gets more credit than he deserves tbh

King is far from a bum, dude is legit. Not Yonko-level but definitely able to be a silver medalist, one of the strongest Shichibukai.

But anyhow, Sabo is in my view way underrated. The way he found the Corrida Colosseums core should be AdCoO, similar to Breath of Things or Voice of all Things.

His haki is still a bit ambiguous but I suspect he used Ryou or something similar when destroying the Colosseum, perhaps the same he used vs the rather competent VA Bastille.

(Edit: forgot how he crushed Burgess like a bug, a dude who in his own right is who knows how strong. Probably at least 1B like Jack).

He tried his luck vs 5 Gorosei + Imu, all transformed, on his opponents turf and lived to tell the tale. All this while being 22. That feat is up there with Xebec killing an Admiral at Mariejois before fleeing without ever engaging with Imu.

Invest in Sabo stocks, dude will legit become a 5B+ threat. Its more likely he'll reach/surpass FA Akainu than cap out at Admiral Fujitora/Ryukogyu level.
