Speculations Who else will get Domi Reversi'd on Elbaf?

Seeing a heated discussion in Sanji's FC, I decided to create a dedicated thread.

Personally, I don't like DR overall and won't be happy to see more people DR'd. I especially hate the possibility of DR'd for Sanji, because I don't want him to eat grass, especially if it's Zoro who beats him.

Strawhats vs DR Loki being the second most voted option is quite interesting. If Luffy defeats DR Loki on his own, he would reach a level comparable to Shanks and pave the way for their encounter. However, if the strawhats join the fight, their victory wouldn't be as meaningful.
I'd love to see it though

Nobody's getting DRed as that's just way too much for the Straw Hats to handle when they already have Imu there, 2 HKs, 2 Domi Giants who were worth 1.8B even WITHOUT the amp, and more.

Personally my predicitions for Sanji are:
Sanji v Sommers (as a precursor for his climax matchup) -> proves he can hurt immortals
SH & Loki v DR Luffy / Evil Nika

DR Luffy would be fitting. Not a huge fan though, he is bad enough as main character

DR Luffy legit would make less than no sense at all

If everyone is susceptible to DR then how can Imu be defeated? And why are people so trigger happy with Domi Reversi anyway

To me i don’t think DR Luffy works just plot wise because Luffys power is being freed, so him being controlled by Imu feels weird.

There are thematic reasons for why DR would and should work on figures like Rocks and Xebec, but not Luffy.

Love is a major theme of arc.

Thriller Bark has never been more relevant.

I don't think Oda's being subtle about the direction he's going.

A lot of y'all want DR Sanji because you think it would lead to some good drama and/or you think Sanji is still hung up about Germa despite making peace with it in Wano. idk how many times Oda has to subvert expectations before y'all learn.

The Evil Sun god has been foreshadowed for quite some time now, if anyone's going to get out of Domi Reversi it has to beNika.

It's going to be either because Nika is the counterpart to Imu and has the ability to reverse Domi Reversi and possibly HK contracts or because if some power of love bullshit where thanks to the crew's love for Luffy he frees himself from the mind controle.

Pretty sure I’ve made a comprehensive post about it on here before but to summarize.

- Luffy is due an L
- Evil Nika has been referenced several times this arc already.
- There are a lot of parallels btw Elbaph & Thriller Bark & in that arc we had Oars Luffy v SHs.

On the point of everyone being susceptible to Domi Reversi, not sure why Nika would be an exception. Like with most devil fruits there’s probably caveats around Domi Reversi & ways it can be avoided. We already know that you can avoid if you prevent being sandwiched by two Domi Reversi victims so there’s probably some way to avoid the forced contract and knowing Oda it will most likely be CoC related.

I think DR Luffy could be the most interesting story wise actually, and the SHP not abandoning their captain like the Rocks pirates has great potential. DR Loki is kind of forced, because the SHP and even the audience isn't really that connected to Loki.

But it's definitely still Imu as the villain of the arc, he's too tied to all the tragedy in the flashback with Harald and stuff. It would be like if Fujitora took over as the main villain of Dressrosa, or the Big Mom Pirates at FMI. It's always the character who did evil shit in the long flashback.

But I also think that Luffy will either be immune to DR for plot reasons (and probably to traumatize Imu even more with Joy boy parallels), and also no one except Loki could even lay a hand on DR'd Nika

Option A) Its gonna be either Luffy temporarly and it be revealed he is immune

if not it makes most sense for Loki and Sanji for narrative reasons, narrativly it doesnt change anything for the other characters to be Dred as it has 0 writing payoff and/or they are underwritten, they would be turned be back by drums of nika or some stuff like that

Quite dissapointing if it would be "No one else" if Imu doenst use the arguably strongest technique he has on a named character when so many are gathered

Keep in mind neither Xebec nor Harald (in japanese domi reversi is also a contract) could break out of it so i doubt that its gonna be a luffy unrelated feat as it has quite the built up in narrative recently

Sanji vs Zoro, which has been teased a lot, and I think needs to happen.

Jinbe vs Luffy, as a throwback to when Jinbe fought Luffy after Marineford to calm him down.

Chopper vs Usopp, emotional fight.

Nami vs Franky, pervert battle.

Robin vs Brook, foreshadowed by Black Maria.

I think we'll see the crew fight themselves, and luffy probably give them gear five forms. I think Bonney getting a gear five form is foreshadowing other characters getting them, since we know Luffy liberates people, and we also know, from people having their eyeballs pop out of their head that his powers physically affect other people.

White Power Zoro vs Black Hair Sanji could make memes to feed generations

I think Blackbeard is attacking the holy land, and Imu will be forced to retreat soon. When Imu leaves, I think they'll attack Hajrudin, and Domi Reversi Loki.

Last fight of this arc is all of Elbaph vs Domi Loki, Thriller Bark and Oars callback.

Nami and Robin are 100% getting Domi's so Oda can draw them as sexy Demon Ladies
