"When the warring deity died, Ratatoskr's spirit passed into his master's hammer. "
This implies Ragnir didn't eat a fruit but that Ratatoskr directly possesed the hammer
It's probably a case of:
Ice squirell Ratatoskr exists > warring dude dies > Ratatoskr dies > Ratatoskr defil fruit is created > either by chance or intentionally the fruit is fed to the hammer

A spirit possesing and being able to then shapshift as a weapon is unheard of so far. The closes thing to that is a Klabauterman.

The only one who can beat me is me
And here I though last chapter was loki destroying fodders

It's good thing that we are dedicating whole chapter to loki beating fodder npcs that will just get back up, hope oda doesn't have a stroke 1 chapter too early before finishing the series because that would be just too funny
The only way this chapter isn't complete filler is if Sommers was actually taken out.

Cheese for everyone!
Magical yes: fruits are magical. These people were only incredibly powerful and incredibly "magical" because of their powers.

But not gods as we intend then imho.
Fruits likely were attempts at recreating said magical beings powers, dont forget that the first world was highly technologically advanced. The second world is where the fruits came from though is my hypothesis.

Big Mom: "If I had teamed up with Elbaf, I would have crushed Red Hair, Kaido and Whitebeard". And we know that statement referred to Loki and not Dorry, Brogy and Jarul.

That's what I was referring to.
To this day, the Goro Goro remains the only Power described as "invicible":

Especially in the hands of a top tier swordsman, this fruit would be incredibly dope, since swordsmanship would account for Nika's immunity to lightning, as he is still vulnerable to slashes. Man, imagine an all out ACoC sword attack amped with max awakened Goro powers.
