Tesla supplier is right imo, the Tom thing could have been what Shiki was talking about, there was also some sort of incident with the ancient weapons that lead Crocodile to believe that Pluton was in Alabasta
(maybe Oda forgor, but it was likely in his head at one point. Oden is kind of a retcon from what Rayleigh and Bm implied, that the VOAT gave Roger knowledge about the RP's)

Kaido and Bm seem to know about the ancient weapons as well. With them going to Wano and FMI.

There’s no reason to believe Tom would tell them that secret though. It’s only supposed to be passed down to his successor

Oda didn't have to tie a character who knows about ancient weapons to the Roger pirates, but he ended up doing so, I imagine something could come of the connection.

How Shiki would know? Maybe he was just following them around and heard something he shouldn't have. He implies he had problems with the crew in the past, and it seems like they were post Rocks era.

Anyway agree to disagree, but I don't think it's basis to say Chap 0 is non canon.

That’s a very hand wavy explanation. If for whatever reason Tom did tell Roger, he’d obviously tell Roger to not blab about it. It’s more likely that it’s just a retcon, like VoAT being able go read Poneglyphs was retconned

Fair enough. Though if Oda has Shiki or a different Rocks pirates be the Man marked by flames, we could get a second flashback trying to clean it up.

But yeah, logically it'll just be a weird thing from an older idea, where Oda left a concept open and never really explained it.

Well, this time we had actually relevant info:

- Moria's backstory. Why the fuck is this not in the manga and why the fuck Oda didn't find the right time? Is that a joke :whitepress:?

- so Shiki is alive + now we know the grade of his blades, good;

- It was Shamrock then. Doesn't make any sense at all, as usual, but It's Oda.
I suppose the pirate was Loki, as it was suspected.
