Do you like the Live Action Adaption?

it’s interesting because all of the actors individually are great at their jobs in other projects, but the directing kills this production.

idk if anyone watched the shitty pjo live action but the exact same thing, a lot of potential ruined by bad directing. it’s been that way for so many adaptation shows now but they all have bad directors and so the show sucks.
Average season 3 shot if they keep zooming on the faces like this. :risitears:

Also, why were some Crocus scenes filmed like Jordan’s interview.:risiflip:

Season 2 Episode 1:

The fight between Smoker and Luffy was amazing! Gives me a lot of hope for logias in general. One the other hand Alvidas DF was a huge downer.

Luffys screaming and acting is unbearable. Hopefully they come to their minds and change that.

Sometimes their costumes look very cheap. I mean come on, millions of dollars go into the series, give them something that does not look like stolen from the local theatre

I would say Inaki did justice for his role as Luffy, i would say playing Luffy is difficult. Luffy is dumb and childish you can see he had to dumb down thats not bad acting. Its just luffy is hard to bring out.

If Inaki is reading the comments you are doing good job just dont take the reviews personally.

Episodes 6, 7, and 8:
- Chopper looks amazing! If we were to nitpick it would be his human (buff) form - he moves and looks clunky. But it's nothing short of amazing how they made it work.
- some minor changes were made to the Hiriluk story but I mostly dislike Kureha - she's almost nothing like her og counterpart. Talking strictly about her personality and not actual looks. For some reason she ran away from the castle as Wapol was coming up. That whole mini arc was totally useless.
- hot take: I like what they did with Wapol's army, I just wish we didn't lose Chessmarimo in the process. But ig they're leaving the Rumble balls for Season 3.
- the cherry blossom shot looked amazing, glad it translated well
- Sir Crocodile looks great! The scar is a bit awkward, as is his hair, but ironically enough his laugh is just too good lmao
And the last point, one that spreads throughout the whole series but became too evident in these episodes:
They should legit stop doing fights! Period. Sword duels and swordsman focised fights (like Zoro's) barely get a pass since there is a modicum of coreography there.
Literally every single other fight looked like they are moving through molasses. Like when you're running in your dream. And that's just the movement. The actual coreography is non existant. Luffy and Sanji look like absolute nerds play fighting in the park. Luffy is saved by VFX where some easily impressed child might find some of it cool. Sanji "fights" are pure garbage, but pretty good comedy bits if you're into unintentional comedy.

Overall, the one thing everyone thpught they wouldn't come close to doing good is the sole thing they did - Devil Fruit powers by and large are done very well.

Costumes, fight coreography, dialogue and djrecting are straight up trash.

Season 3 could be a stand out for one simple reason - the desert setting allows them for a lot more real-life location shots, making up for tge lacklustre sets so far.
And sand dunes are picturesque without trying, anyway.
If they focus a bit of their budget on a proper cinematographer along with the things I mentioned previously, season 3 could be a huge improvement.

Basically confirmed stuff: Karoo (and probably the whole Duck squad), Ace's actor, Bon-chan's actor

Though I wonder what Season 3 will cover? If it's only Alabasta then 8 episodes are overkill. Stuff will be cut, some show only stuff will be added, but overall the story will be shorter than in the anime.
Do we get Jaya as the final 2 episodes?
Or a show only intro to the rest of the world? Maybe Shanks and WB meeting, or a show-only BB crew introduction episode?
