8,5 at max for the second season, but not 9

And the problem is the budget:
1-2 episode - has a really bad "Karen" producer, who lacks skills;
3rd episode - peak episode with a great producer;
4-5 - great episodes with a good producer
6-8 again, one producer for 3 episodes, but it lacks screen time a lot:
1. Climbing on the mountain happened too fast;
2. No Lapan scene, which is why Climbing on the mountain looked here as not a forced decision;
3. No greedy Kuraha scene;
4. No MONSTER scene with Luffy running after Chopper;

You can say that if there were 9 episodes, Drum Island would be perfect, but one episode costs $18 million, which is why it was impossible.

Maybe before the Marinford arc in LA, IA will be able to make CGI effects with much lower effort, but at this point, this is the best that any studio could deliver for One Piece fans.

8.5/10. While the critics are fair, this actually is the first good adaptation of an animated series/manga into live action TV (obviously not counting Marvel and DC stuff). I honestly expected a successful adaptation from Avatar which turned out to be way worse.

A first successful adaptation that achieves worldwide popularity means it is doable and I expect we will see more successful anime adaptations soon. I expect Naruto and FMA series in the near future.

It will be much harder to make Naruto adaptation:
1. All actors suppose to be Japanese, which is something that western watcher will never like;
2. It has too many filler moments and overall is boring for adaptation;
3. Whole senen trope is not going to work in LA

Valid points definitely. The easier part compared to OPLA would be requiring less seasons.

S1: Land of Waves + Chunin Exam
S2: Search for Tsunade + Sasuke Rescue
S3: Gaara Rescue + Tenchi Bridge
S4: Hidan&Kakuzu + Tale of Jiraiya + Jiraiya vs Pain + Sasuke vs Itachi (would need 10 episodes probably though)
S5: Konoha Crush + 5 Kage Summit
S6: 4th Ninja World War. Maybe make this two seasons, it would also relax S4 episode count.

Most arcs could be fit into 4 episodes, making it possible to shoot for 2 arcs/season ratio. However, requiring only Japanese actors and suitability with LA adaptation are obviously significant problems (I agree with you). Yet, we should never say never.

Code Geass, FMA, Kuroko etc. can be adapted even easier but they are not as popular as Big 3 (FMA is arguable). It will be harder to catch the audience.

The problem is that fights will not be able to look like in anime as well. Some people hated Zoro vs. 100 assassins; it was made perfectly, to be honest, but some people wanted to see anime-quality fighting. Anime is about Zoro, who is faster than every assassin, can kill people with one sword, just playing with em etc etc.
So I kinda don't know how to adapt all Naruto fights into LA. One Piece is working because One Piece was never about fights, but about the story.
But Naruto is about fights in the first place, and story is not important there. It would be much easier adapt Hunter x Hunter for example or Rave Master, than Naruto

Another reason why One Piece is able to work in LA as opposed to Naruto is that the main characters are all young adults in their late teens to twenties which is easier for actors to portray across many years. Unless you're Harry Potter and you film those stories back-to-back, it's incredibly difficult to adapt long-running stories with child characters.

A Hunter x Hunter LA show could be done but it would be a notch more difficult than One Piece given the young ages of the main protags.

7/10. I actually like Nami & Usopp more this season , and even better than what we currently have in the manga. It’s adapting some of my favourite parts of the manga, so even though I don’t like Luffy’s actor that much the events still resonate with me.

Whiskey Peak Saloon is a certified banger. Do yourself a favour and listen to it even if you don’t watch the live action.

9/10. Normally I'm a stickler for changes in things like this, but the changes here are for the most part well done, reasonable, and it lends excitement to the story. I know One Piece like the back of my hand, so that sense of "wait, what's happening, this isnt what I expected" is rather fun. I was utterly shocked at just how creepy they made Mr.3 and Ms Goldenweek. And they really put the peak in Whiskey Peak.

And they really popped off with Vivi. Her actress does a great job, and the new parts they add for her are all excellent. I think the truncated Wapol fight is probably the most disappointing part of season 2, but getting to see Vivi contribute to his defeat was a great addition(and I'm sure it will make it even more interesting when we get to the Reverie in season 17 lmao)
