@soupongo Wouldn’t it make more sense for Admiral fans to just argue that Oda quietly retconned Luffy’s ability to force a 2nd round of G5?
I don’t really see how you can argue that Luffy was significantly more exhausted after his 1st round with Kizaru than he was with Kaido when Luffy had literally died earlier in the fight with Kaido, and had taken more damage while in G5 against Kaido than he did against Kizaru. Imo it’s a pretty clear cut case of PIS (no, top tiers aren’t just suddenly immune to PIS because reasons), though a retcon is another plausible explanation.

The answer is obviously Kizaru who was ordered to murder his friends (Akainu is the best fleet admiral ever for sending Kizaru on this mission), Kizaru also had no interest in killing Luffy and even helping Luffy outright

Damage doesn’t erode stamina. Luffy mentioned dying before this because the damage he sustained from the attack that nearly killed him was still retained by his body. And he was tuckered out but no where’s near as drained as he was after Kizaru where he couldn’t even move or speak.

Nothing about g5 is going to be consistent anyway, idk what the point of bitching is. You can say that he had more plot armor than usual against Kaido, but his g5 has also run out against the Gorosei, now Imu etc. Oda´s intention is not holding Luffy back, he gave him bs god powers that make zero sense after 1000 chapters of having a paramecia. He just didn´t get to properly beat Kizaru yet.
