Imu being able to DR the other Gods as always seemed impossibile to be. Also, It has never happened that a "victims" falls for the same trick as his relatives/friends. Xebec and Harald had already fallen for the mind control, so Loki wouldn't.

The family/friend thing, that's kind of a storytelling coincidence assuming that Imu is done trying. I can imagine a lot of people said DR Loki wouldn't happen just in a very general sense, with a lot of reasons unrelated to this chapter, and that's not the same.

I say that DR Loki wouldn't have happened because Imu being able to DR the other Gods would have made zero sense. (Nidhogg is a god fruit as any other, even Imu refers to it by name as it does with Nika. Nika=Sun God; Nidhoog=War God).

Other than the god thing, Loki being DR has never made any narrative sense for the reasons said. Loki's father and idol had already fallen for the mind control trick and so never made any narrative sense for Loki, the "victim", the one who had to kill his father because of that, to fall for the same trick. Has never happened before and won't in the future.
Momo wasn't cheapshotted/boiled (the opposite in fact), Rebecca wasn't "parasited" and so on.
