The size argument is dumb considering how many ways there are for it to work.
1. The owl comes along
2. The owl's method of changing sizes can be replicated(maybe it's some kind of tool it uses)
3. Loki's awakening allows him to completely manipulate his size
4. Vegapunk creates a way to shrink Loki
5. Franky upgrades the Sunny or builds a bigger ship it can dock into using the Adam wood on Elbaph
That's just off the top of my head. If Oda wants a giant to join the crew, he can think of a way to make it work.
