You don't think this will result in any change/character development for him?

I guess turning point is iffy but I doubt he will stay the same personally.....I think something is up, Oda clearly has the OG trio showing doubt throughout EH, and it seems logical that he might do the C3 pattern by giving each Admiral a breaking point.

You also have to recall that Kizaru only slayed VP after Saturn severely wounded him. He also gave up the instant he had an excuse which probably saved Bonney and Sento + left Sento alone to escape in 1124.

Kuzan also was pretty lenient towards Luffy mostly. Hell Garp himself only wavered at the very end when Luffy was charging at him. So I don't Kuzan did more than follow his example.
Kuzan did murder his bestfriend who was against a genocide though.

Oda recently retconned the death but Kuzan had no idea he survived nor was that his intention.

Forgot about that

What's Kuzan's deal actually? He seems like a really indecisive one. Outside of hating Akainu and liking Garp I can't really get a grasp on his idealogy.

Like Kizaru is more straightforward, he's a salaryman who likes his little bro and hates pirates, Kuzan is like...respects Garp, thinks Akainu is bad for killing scholars but tried to take out Saul himself?

I think for Kizaru to make an actual move against the government it has to be under the influence or leadership of Akainu

Actually now that I think of it, isn't Kuzan in Ohara pretty analagous to Kizaru in EH?

Buster call, C3 member kills best friend reluctantly (tries to atleast), ends up sparing protege of said friend who is wanted by WG (Robin/Bonnie), said C3 member gets mad at Akainu at the end.

At least some surface level similarities, or maybe I'm seeing all this because it's after work and I have a headache lol

Aokiji = nuanced Fujitora
Akainu = nuanced Aramaki

Imo the two new Admirals are basically the extreme versions of both in the alignment system.

Imo that's one of the possibilities.
a. Kizaru leaves WG, leaving a post for Orange Admiral to round up the secondary colour admirals. No clue what he does next
b. Akainu has his moment where he understands the WG is ass, proceeds to erupt, set his desk on fire, and goes out swinging with Kizaru.

What do you anticipate for each Admiral? Or C3 at least.

Well a couple months back I watched 2 of the five movie series of Bunta Sugawra, the guy Akainu is based on, and I’m convinced now that he eventually goes against the government.
Would also be fine with him remaining a brainwashed terminator lol
Kizaru follows him in either cases
Kuzan hard to know, feel like he’ll save the world at one point, might have a tragic death doing so

Battles Without Honour, right? His character song is based on that.

I actually read the synopsis and am semi convinced that Akainu and Dragon are meant to rep the MC and his friend who he's ordered to kill.

Also Kizaru's character in that series has a twist which is why I expect some things from him.

Agree that either rebellious Akainu or Terminator Akainu works. As long as he gets treated with respect.

But BWH is not the only one. This guy on piratefolk brought up another movie too: https://www.reddit.com/r/Piratefolk/comments/1o83y1m
This is Aramaki's film Ronin Gai. Akainu doesn't quite match but some inspiration is there from the epithet at least.

Have you ever seen the Truck Yaro series btw? Kizaru's character is actually based on a guy from the second film, even down to the name.

I think I'm going to make a post that's well structured with just a few reasons why I think Nika is the in-story name for Jesus Christ

The reasons are:

- Jesus has a transformation that looks like Nika

- The cross and church is associated with the Nika sun symbol

- Jesus has a sword similar in description to Nika's sword

- Throughout history, the word Nika has been used in association with Jesus

To be fair idk why we thought Saul was dead in the 30 years one piece has been out theres never once been a time someone actually died from being frozen by kuzan

Even when we first meet him in long ring they where able to thaw the frozen people out

Hell Jozu literally got frozen and knocked over and only lost an arm
