Speculations Loki is being set up to replace Shanks as yonko

As we know, Loki himself is a god tier fighter. He defeated HK Harald, with the Nidhogg being portrayed as a comparable power to that of Nika.

If it was him alone, he could be rationalized as a lone top tier, like Ochoku or something. Strong but without the military force of a yonko.

However, Loki is set up to be the one who frees Galley La. As we know the Galley La was frozen, and Ragnir can create ice only he can melt. We know Galley La is extremely powerful, as Rocks wanted to recruit them.

It is very likely that were Loki to free Galley La, he’d basically have a yonko tier crew. This wouldn’t be like the Kid or Heart pirates, this would be a force that could legitimately go toe to toe with the SHs.

I think Loki becoming a yonko is all but guaranteed, the only real quest is who he replaces. Imo it would make a lot of sense for it to be Shanks. Shanks was the one who captured Loki in the past. He is also a benchmark that Luffy is likely to surpass in the next arc.

My guess is that once the RHP get destroyed at Lodestar/Laugh Tale, Loki replaces them as the yonko in the final war.

The only scenario where it would be appropriate to become a Yonko is literally if he was a solo pirate with no subordinates to speak of, the title of Yonko is that far beneath him

Go reread Chapters 1125 and 1126. They straight up confirm the Yonko are going to fight over the RPs and very likely the Marines along with them at least. At that point, the winner becomes PK and uses One Piece and the Ancient Weapons for their own reasons against the WG. Its literally stated by Koala in 1125.

Loki is going to be an endgame ally. Thats it. Hes not in the running for PK.

Nothing indicates Loki will even leave Elbaf. He can't be considered a Yonko like that. By the opposite he most likely will be crowned as King.

Best chance is if Oda wants to do a reverse parallel with Yamato that wanted to go to the sea but at the end stayed. Loki wants to stay but will end up going to the seas, similar how he wanted as a kid.

It is already pointless now that there is no Shichibukai too in my opinion. The whole point of those 2 system is to desize the number of pirates created by Roger’s speech in his death. Seraphim already do the Shichibukai job. Most likely they don't need Yonkou as well. Specially Buggy going directly against WG.
