either way, Desire itself is neutral. Imu even says that the Power has to be CORRUPTED by him. So sinoly desiring power isn’t bad. Imu has to corrupt it in order for him to control you and feed off it

I think Desire is the neutral power that existing writhing everyone

Imu however has the ability to use Desire for Power as an actual Fighting ability through the corruption and covenants

everyone else who also has desires can’t directly use their Desire power the way Imu can. For everyone else Desire creates DFs and that’s extent of their control of this Desire power

I don’t know about “using maki”. This seems to be the mechanic of how DFs are created

DFs are created from “Desires” of people and Omens are the “Desire for power”

So whatever energy people’s desires have that allowed people to create DFs is the energy that Imu is using with these Omens

so it’s like there is a hidden power of Desire somewhere in the verse but “using” that power is seemingly rare

Every character villains or good guys has this Omen power. Everyone “desires power”

The ability to use this “Desire for power” as actual fighting power is what is rare or maybe only accessible to Imu

that’s why the death of a holy knight affects Imu, it’s Imu power that he is giving out in pacts

what’s interesting is that Imu himself gets this power from other people too and then gives it to his holy knights

Well the blast radius of Thorheim is the size of an island. And yet the attack vanishes without the tree even being affected

this can’t be a simple block by Imu unless you think Imu also protected an Island sized portion of the tree he was on and somehow Imu’s Blocking ability is so small that it itself doesn’t have to be island sized

Based on what we saw in Skypiea, yeah.
Most of the environment shrugged off lightning.
Only the Maxim-buffed attack at the end erased part of island which wasnt earth based while Upper Yard tanked quite well all of it...

Wouldnt every villain who we seen so far seen have maki instead of haki than? like doffy, yonkos etc. ?

If they make contract with imu then yes. Gorosei for example do seem to have it.

Not really, Imu says EVERYTHING has Omen

the despite for power is in every person

he simply “corrupts” it to use it for himself.

Only imu and gorosei to some extent seem to be able to use it. Imo only those who are corrupted by imu's powers can use it. Hence Saturn's haki was strange in egghead.

Imu’s power is from desire for power. Every being that desires power creates Omens. And Imu is fueled by these Omens

Imu gets power from the number of Fodder under him that desire power.

And as we saw in the Last Attack from Loki, Imu absorbed all of Loki’s attack using the same Omen hand symbol presumably because as he said, ALL THINGS have Omens, including the people Imu is fighting. Imu absorbs Loki’s attack because Loki’s attack contains omens in it as well.

Omens are more or less a new power system, and the question is, Is Imu the only character who can manipulate this “Desire for Power” that is within all things?

I don’t think Omen will be a completely new system.

my guess is it is the mechanism behind DFs and also things like Asura and DJ.

Awakened zoans like Lucci seem to have rings of Omen around them.

i also love the idea that those steel hearts are like the last 10 remaining from an old army of thousands of immortal cyborg soldiers in the void century so hes wary of their destruction
