If one spends whole 90 mins near or inside boxes - every game then eventually one will get a cross or a pass or a penalty to score.
That's all he has been about in past 6 years or so. This isn't hatred for Ronaldo. This is actually what's going on the field.
Let's be real - any other player in place of Ronaldo and he would have been removed long time ago.
Fans need to accept the reality that Ronaldo hasn't been good for a long time now. He definitely dominated the World stage along side Messi for a decade or so, and he will go down as one of the greats, but it's time to move on. Fans and Ronaldo - both needs to accept the reality and let it go. More they will expect Ronaldo to be like Messi, more they will get disappointed.
And, Portugal needs to think about National glory than one player's ego and records.

Obviously but a forward who simply waits for ball to come to him throughout the game becomes a liability.
His involvement with the play and momentum is so minimal that you don't even feel he's playing. He has to be part of that momentum to create opportunities for the team to score as well and not just him. There's hardly any Individual moments of brilliance from him.
It's frustrating for the rest of the players as well.

Or they acted like he's the only one who existed and when he struggled with his own postioning and finishing with no pressing, players started relying on themselves more resulting into a team which looks imbalanced and out of sync.
You simply can't blame the players who plays different sort of game at club level with everyone contributing in the play and then at National level are asked to take the back seat to feed ball for Ronaldo to score.
