Whats funny is IF Oda was a subversive author, I would be SURE that all this CoC talk was bait for some PoL shenanigan.

Sommers and Killingham show up, Killingham has the goofy ass derpy design, therefore he's Sanji's matchup, doesn't matter if he has a 2nd cooler form. It was set when he first appeared.
After onigashima, there's no "gotcha!" moment from him. Man's tired of BS and is going straight for the throat with Sanji's CoC.

Tbh, both of the Holy Roppo could have been Sanji's matchup.
Sommers had that "twisted love" theme, is goofy too and got already wrecked twice this arc. He seemed just written to be kicked in the face by Sanji later on.
But yeah, Oda is really linear as always: bad guy with a sword -> Zoro's matchup.
Which one remains, the one with the trident and the goofy Zoan -> ok, Sanji's.

The more they are immortal the more it is easy for Oda to kill them
they are not « real » person anymore. More like demons, nefarious things rather than humans
they can either be stripped of their immortality by Imu while leaving
or their death will force Imu to leave (weakening him)
I can see Oda killing them frankly

Sanji needs to love himself as much as he loves others(mainly women with the small exception of his crew and Zeff), that way he can access his full potential.
Sanji needs to accept himself whole, the good and the bad. He's ultimately Zeff's son, the good side he already in peace with, but also Judge/Germa's son, the bad side he rejects. The two come from a place of love, but while one one is accepting, the other is imposing.
When Sanji makes peace with himself, he'll release his shackled inner self, his CoC, and only then will he fully conquer his Germa Lineage, his Ice cold heart, and his Sora inheritance, his fiery heart. With both he'll have the strongest body and shield for defense(total fire immunity and invulnerability), and the strongest fire and spear for offense(Black/Pink flames of destruction).
