@Rumble You got the biggest W my bro literal canon confirmation Sanji was hold back for 1200 chapters like yoou always said bar for bar
I appreciate that, but I'm not gonna take credit for something a lot of us believed. I'm sure I wasn't the first. :suresure:

Gaban must have said some real shit to Sanji because Zoro didn’t take the prime opportunity to mock him.

The other Strawhats probably don’t know the burden Zoro has accepted.
Gaban told Sanji something he didn’t like to hear and surprised him.

We will learn what it is when Sanji actually awakens CoC.

I think Gaban told him why he doesn’t have it yet, something to effect of Sanji holding himself back out of fear for losing himself.

It doesn’t do for Conquerors to fear their own power. Sanji may have come to terms with his worthiness, but he’s still holding on to fear.

That makes sense to me, given Zoro’s lack of response. I don’t think any of the Strawhats know what burden he accepted.

Perhaps Sanji will lose himself momentarily.
Sanji's fear of losing himself through awakening or prolonged use of the Raid Suit is not evidence he would, nor does it actually matter.

The point was for Sanji to face his fear and ascend by overcoming it.

Sanji had to choose himself over the "Warrior of Science" he feared becoming.

imo this was the moment Sanji got past his biggest internal obstacle to becoming a Conqueror.

What remains now is not overcoming fear but a lack of selfishness. If Gaban having words has anything to do with Sanji awakening Conqueror's, it's that he will remark on the selfish nature of love and Conquerors alike.

Going even further on this limb, perhaps we'll learn indirectly or otherwise that PoL is the power of selflessness, i.e. outward love, and CoC is the power of selfishness, i.e. inward love. Perhaps we'll learn that a balance is required to unlock the full potential of both.

@Doggo @Rumble @Raiden7 @PuckTheGreat

I remember we talked about this in the past

This chapter makes it clear that Sanji can't access Adcoc without self-nerfing himself by doubting/undervaluing himself, which he currently still doing and has the blockade

This means now we have 100% confirmation, however this feat was accomplished it was not some Adcoc Haki like some people speculated

:hope:

Will we get an explanation?

I will take credit for ALWAYS ARGUING THIS and the fact Sanji hasn't used Conqueror's Haki at any point so far.

Sanji's Conqueror's Haki is dormant.

The reason I believe Gaban can tell Sanji has the potential is tied to his "Voice", which he can sense with his insanely powerful Observation Haki - which I remind y'all picked up the Strawhats on Egghead all the way from Elbaph. Gaban is OP in this regard.

Sanji has the makings of a great king and Conqueror, but he needs to learn to be more selfish or he's going to get hurt or allow others to be hurt.

I believe that is the difference between Conqueror's Haki and Power of Love.

The former is selfish, the latter is selfless. Sanji in particular has to find a balance within.

I’ll admit I didn’t think Sanji would get conquerors but the prospect of it finally happening is exciting when his fighting style is so versatile and creative

It still annoys the fuck out of me Oda didn't give Sanji his own version of Rankyaku.
It never made sense to me Sanji ripped off Geppō but not Rankyaku.

Oda was one some hater shit with decision.

Not only would ranged attacks add new dimensions to his game, specifically being able to cut things with a Rankyaku-like technique would allow him to expand his cooking-themed attacks.

Chopping, dicing, mincing, Julliene, Baton, Mandoline, Brunoise, Chiffonade - the list of variety can go on and on. With or without flames.

Chopping, dicing, mincing, Julliene, Baton, Mandoline, Brunoise, Chiffonade - and that's before we get DJ or IJ involved.

Oda is a punk for not letting him have Rankyaku post-skip to begin with.

I'd be more than happy for Sanji to just reveal it without explanation and the implication being he did develop those moves but just didn't use them.
If the swordsman can do blunt damage, allow the unarmed martial artist to cut.

Unfortunately I don't think range cutting attacks are happening.

Range attacks still could, but I'm not holding by breath for that either.

I'm more invested in Sanji having Future Sight and at least one form of advanced Armament techniques.
