We just didn't get enough of screentime on him about his character.
We saw on Wano that he still cares, kind etc despite people saying after Time Skip he grew stoic and didn't care at all.
He is still the same Zoro like before.

He’s turned into more of an aura merchant post timeskip but still one of my favourite characters

He’s still cool, but he’s become a bit too one dimensional. The badass stoic swordsman thing took over to the point it flattened him. I miss where he was badass and had more expressions…doesn’t change the fact he’s a lot of people’s favorite character. But it’s because of that one trait or sub traits related to that.

Oda has sidelined him a lot and refuses to give him any meaningful growth.
