most likely but let's even assume he's able to somehow recover from that devastating attack he just recieved (i.e assuming the food he ate gives him instant healing powers lol). Even if he faces Imu again he's gonna get washed so there's need for some kinda divine intervention
Didn't think Luffy would be shown to be this weak in comparison to Imu tbh.

I know Luffy will come back but he will need a PU to be able to tango with Imu. My guess is Devil fruit fuckery coz other than that I’m not what can help him. Or maybe the devil fruit shows him an ancient memory of how Joyboy used to fight. Starting to feel like 天気 (Tenki) or 神気 (Shinki) could end up being a thing for him kinda like Imu’s Maki.

I'd like to draw your attention to the fact that the sword's materialization "killed" small area of the forest - so i'm assuming that if this blade drains life by its very presence, then being injured by it will have much more dire consequences. (than just a wound (however serious it may be)

My point is, let's not assume whether Luffy will be able to do it or not - because i don't think he's taken the full blown attack yet (you know what i mean).

As far as I know, Oda gave the name of these Ki from known terms from fiction novels. Haki are from fiction novel while Maki and Seiki are from Taoism. I have never heard of the term 天気 or 神気 being some sort of power.

Well assuming the main issue would be if Luffy's Heart got direct damage right?.. Being impaled through and through your body isn't a problem in One Piece.. So Nika the devil fruit itself which resides in the heart dodged.. Luffy's heart dodged on his own.. lol
