You did not say they were unstoppable, but implying that even with rigging Argentine doesn’t stand a chance is basically saying the same thing. It's not my fault that you guys create scenarios in your head and then argue against those scenarios. Straw-manning my position and words won't work. Which is why I had to dumb it down so no misrepresentation or misunderstanding may occur.
All of that is true and anything can happen. But imaginary scenarios are not likely. Which is why, based on everything, I would bet on France at the moment. Though I would have to see how hard Argentina will be pushed by the refs tonight and in the semis against England to conclude what would be the most likely scenario.

Argentina was on verge of going out. They tasted it. They felt it in their bones. You could see in their celebrations (they lifted Messi up) and tears post match how difficult it was for them to comeback and how until 78 mins they were crashing out of WC.

I haven't seen a single thing proven and specifically speaking on Argentina it's obvious how hurt the Egyptians were in general. But you're saying to put up money and well... Refs are humans and when games flow so fast, possibility of overlooking by refs or mistakes increases.
When refs do commit a blatant cheating, whole world reacts to it like we saw in 2002.
People aren't fools.
VAR was introduced to reduce such errors and inconsistencies but we all know how it's in grip of controversies and we have seen it across leagues.
At the end of the day, it's judgement error on the part of refs and it happens like in case of Bellingham. It happens in every sport.
But some fans simply don't understand this nor rules.
They don't understand that for FiFa to rig match like what we saw in Argentina and Egypt, even involvement of Egyptians players are necessary to pull it off.
