Argentina went extreme diff against their last 3 matches and only menaged to win because they have the spirit of football in their hearts so they never give up, however they commit terrible mistakes, are phisically bad and try to score early and then defend as they already win.

These kind of mistakes makes me believe they can't beat France and Spain for now, maybe even England. Scaloni better do something about it
England, France and Spain had been remarkable so far.

France has been dominant and explosive.

Spain has been formidable and like a fortress

England has been efficient and resilient.

Argentina? One way to see it is they had been not so good. They are making mistakes. One can also say there aren't good enough. One can also believe that stronger opponents would exploit these weaknesses more decisively.

But there's another perspective - Argentina has been number 1 team for a long time now. They won Copa in 2024.

Few tough matches doesn't suddenly make a team average.

Most importantly, teams that repeatedly survive difficult matches like Argentina did often build composure, confidence, resilience, and belief under pressure. And, semi finals and finals are high stakes pressure matches.

Even the best of the lot can fumble under pressure. Spain, France and England are not safe from pressure as well.

If I have to sum up Argentina then yes they had been unconvincing, they looked vulnerable but...they are also battle hardened and relentless. They keep on coming back. It's like they are very difficult to put down.

Mistakes can be improved, mentality is much harder to build.

Argentina might not come across as good as other semi finalists so far, but they are unmatched in mentality and attitude.

World Cups are also a great moment to celebrate outside. Especially if you live in one of the countries that are still in the tournament. Lots of places will open places, not just bars, for the remaining matches.

The France vs Spain game feels like the actually final tbh
Argentina and England have struggled way too much in recent matches and they weren't even facing particularly "big" teams.

Not even counting the bad haramball from Paraguay and the good haramball from Cabu Verde.

There are no matches for the next two days, my vacation is boring now :josad:
What are we gonna do with our lives when the tournament will be over ?

Do you think Argentina reached semis mainly because of luck and advantages?

Do you think Argentina can't beat Spain or England/ Spain/France?
Clearly, when you are facing teams without proper attacks, how you can be in trouble ? And yet they were in big trouble so imagine against world class attack ? Messi saved their asses multiples times, it won't be the case everytime.

Switzerland made so many mistakes, they had one good attacker but dude got a red card when it was 1-1 for a retarded simulation. It's not rigged or anything, just Argentina needed that red card to be back in the game because they were so lost, you can ask @John Akainu who also watched the game, that's what i call an advantage. I don't really care about penalties, because if there is a peno, it means there is a fault inside the box, but the red card completely changed the game.

And yes Argentina are far weaker than Spain, England and France, anyone who knows football will accept it. But being weaker never stopped a team to win the tournament. Only who plays with great intent win, that's all. If you are too cocky and make stupid mistakes --> out.

Argentina clearly gave space for Swiss, i don't why but when they scored the first goal, They started playing defensively, eased off the attack, and made silly errors in marking and passing.

it was inevitable Swiss would score sometime because they started to own Argentina in the game. If Swiss had a good striker, they could legit defeat Argentina. The moment they scored and Embolo got the red card, Argentina woke up for the game and said "this is our chance" but even, Argentina struggled to bypass Swiss defense even with 1 less player lol. You can even see Argentina players phisically bad and exausted.

So, if i had to say points Argentina have to improve is:
- Don't be dependent of Messi, if you have the oportunity to score, do it, you don't need to find Messi everytime
- Don't think you won the game just because you scored first, don't limit your attack
- Don't commit Marking mistakes, especially against England since you're dealing with Bellingham and Rogers
- Improve your phisical stats
