French team and the french medias analysed the whole thing before the tournament and that's why they chose Boston as HQ. That's why finishing in the first place was the most important thing because if we finished 2nd, we would have got long distance journey.

England went to Mexico, Los Angeles, New York, etc.
But in other side, all French games were at 1pm (so in day+heat) while others played at night.

Let's not pretend England destroyed Norway.

Norway was playing better than England and were effective in attack bypassing their defense to the point of ownning England, but the amount of missed chances for scoring costed the match and England survived by their extremely dangerous counter attack.

Even Tuchel admited they didn't play at their best against Norway

Norway could have won if their players weren't so dumbass.

So yeah, both Argentina and England gives doubts

Spain won in 2010 with defeat to Switzerland in opener, and then winning all 4 of their knockout matches with 1-0

Football is not just about how many goals a team can score or a player can score.

Haaland had 7 goals in 4 matches but England cornered him enough to keep him silent. He had only 21 touches in the match.

At the end of the day, it's about tactics, execution and adaptability, mentality and most importantly, how a team finds a way to win.
