THE FINAL: SPAIN OR ARGENTINA WHO IS WINNING!?

We conquered Mexico in their fortress.
We defended the beaches from a Norway Viking invasion.
We will take the Emperor of football, the great Argentinian to the sword and topple his legacy.
And then we shall waltz into the hallowed halls of the final, and take revenge for the Euros two years ago.

It's coming home.

Honestly I'm scared of this Spain team after seeing how they have answer for every France's attack, complete shutdown, mental shattering.
Not to insult France this tournament (they've been excellent), but their mentality was never really tested. France demolished all their opponents. We never got a chance to see them when they were down and out, or looking towards the exit of the competition. They were undoubtedly the most talented team, but they crumbled. Mbappe (who was brilliant) completely lost his head against Spain.

This isn't for copium, but England are the exact opposite. We scored 2 in the final 15 to beat Congo after a shit game, 10-manned our way to win at the AZTECA of all places, clawed out a victory against a very strong Norway squad. We've been shit, but our mentality is absolutely there.

Sometimes what you need to win these big games is that sense of belief that you will be able to seize your one moment. Spain aren't invulnerable, especially to world class attackers like Kane and Mbappe. However, France lost their cool and could not create that one magic moment. England on the other other hand keep finding those moments even when they don't deserve it.

Honestly, I could see England getting to the final, drawing 2-2 and winning on penalties. Ironically, after being the worst in the world at them for decades, we are now a very scary penalty taking team.

I believe. I think we won't be the favourites, but the reality is, we weren't really favourites against Mexico, or even Norway (who were very underrated).

It's coming home.

I really don't like Spain over react to every single foul, those are really Oscar worthy. When the keeper blocked the ball with his balls, he acts like nothing happen. When France kick his hands, he holds his face like he was kicked on his face.

Then on the other hand, Argentina always make harsh tackle and there is no foul.

Fuck these refs man.

The only supreme thing about the Latinos is Fifa's corruption towards them, and that's a fact.

I hope England found some answer for Spain by then if they beat Argentina today. You'd hope Rashford, Gordon, or Saka turned up to score a worldy else they are fucked.

Ya England definitely look favorite going into this match but Argentina have experience and Goat Messi with them he can change match in matter of minutes.

Eitherway i dont see either of them beating Spain. Spain is too good they will win i am 90% certain of it unless they have decided to not turn up on that day.
Though I keep saying we'll definitely win, part of that is to keep morale up. There is a chance we lose this. Argentina are mentality monsters. They also have the god of football. But Argentina are not the favourites tonight. I do think we'll win, but I do not ignore the very real possibility that we choke, or Argentina show up.

I think only England can beat Spain due to the difference in styles. England is not a bad match-up for Spain. Tuchel has experience in defeating this style of play. Needless to say, Spain will be the favourites, but I'll be optimistic for a narrow upset (I think it's 60/40 in favour of Spain).

England fans boosting each other's confidence and convincing themselves that they are going into finals is the cutest thing I have seen in this thread :milaugh:

England as fav? Sure

England is good team? Definitely

Do England have talents? God damn right

But don't forget - you are up against the World champion and a team that has won 4 major finals in past 6 years. You are up against Messi who decide tactics on field according to the situation and team adjusts with it like a melody in sync. You are up against a team who knows how to play pressure matches and win.

That's nice.

Have you considered it's coming home though?

Didn't think so.
