I don't think it's because of one or two isolated incidents. That happens like France not getting free kick before half time.

I think it's because of minor tactical fouls Spain committed.

France relies heavily on transitioning and pressing. So whenever they were doing so, a minor foul by Spain player was disrupting the flow.

Spain looked pretty bleak before last night to be honest no one expected to be dominate that badly

Spaniard defense is definitely strong, they only got hit once by Belgium in this world cup. Only mistake they did was when Yamal, not a defender, almost gave a penalty at minute 87 with the foul on Doué. It turned out to be a free kick but it was so close...

Doué must be destroyed within for having missed the opportunity to score when the goalkeeper wasn't even in the his goalpost... and that's definitely a hellish miss in a world cup. Spaniards came back asap and countered him.

Frankly I don’t know

maybe we overestimated them a lot and it was their « real » level under pressure

but frankly I don’t think so (for a part)

maybe they weren’t ready for that level of pressure, given they only had « easy » games before, they had the ball and weren’t challenged in that area at all

maybe the team wasn’t balanced enough,

Maybe Digne made a stupid fucking mistake, Rabiot took a fake yellow and left even if he was the best mid fielder, maybe Kone should have began, Tchouameni wasn’t ready, and Doué should have started

Or just it was a bad day for them and they weren’t in tha game

French team spent most of the game doing passes instead of shooting on target. Literally 3 mere shots of target. I feel like only Dembele woke up towards the end of the game after minute 80 and shot twice on target. Meanwhile Mbappé shot once after 1hour of match. But I know you don't need many shots on target to transform them into goals
