Americans and English have good relationship with each other, despite the independence stuff, but Spain and Portugal do not have such a relationship with their former colonies (and it goes both ways), which is a shame because we are tied by both bloodties and cultural ones.

It is what it is. I try to not be hateful towards people I don't know personally, but its kinda hard not to when you are greeted with hate for no reason. I hated my 2016 trip to Portugal, and have no intention of returning despite having many relatives that are 200% Portuguese.
