I think it's possible Luffy can continue fighting if Bofu doesn't suck out his life force.

I still think the Resin Gum Tree theory has weight, and Oda's saving it for later.

The fact that Imu was draining life out of Adam Tree wood, which is one of the strongest materials we've seen in the series, makes me believe Luffy might have his life force sucked out, and be immediately knocked out of Gear 5.

If Luffy gets away, though, and his life force doesn't get sucked out, I wonder if Gear 5 can just... naturally resupply blood?

Is blood loss even a problem for Gear 5? IDK.

Good question, but honestly, after seeing Doflamingo patching his inner organs up by himself with a seemingly "normal" devil fruit compared to Luffy, I expect way crazier stuff from gear 5 in comparison to that.

Is Vivi arriving next chapter?

The Editor's hint talked about someone arriving. Vivi's been teased a lot. There was the x placed on Luffy on the Newspaper. Who placed it? Vivi, to let the Straw Hats know she was coming to Elbaph to reunite with them:

Last chapter, we see Imu stab Luffy through in a clear callback to Crocodile in Alabasta

Will Vivi come to save Luffy, after Luffy saved Alabasta from Crocodile? Or could this be somehow foreshadowing Crocodile coming here?

Finally, Luffy recently appeared as a Genie, with a nod to Aladdin. Genie from Aladdin is famously blue, like Vivi's hair, and Genie/Jinn are based in the Middle East, whereas Alabasta is the One Piece equivalent of a Middle Eastern country.

I think Vivi either hijacked Morgans ship, or Pell rescued her after she contacted him by stealing a Den Den Mushi.

Either way, even if Vivi isn't on the way now, she will be, soon.
