I have an idea but I don't Oda has the balls to do it

It has effortlessly dealt with 2 powerful attacks.

The opinion is the following - that is Shanks from 14 years ago who at that point probably wasnt capable of the same haki burst as Joyboy.
That burst negates all of Imu's advantages that he collected over the years and thus even Shanks alone could stand a chance against Imu but since this is also the biggest organisation in the world, you also need allies to match the said organisation.
And then there is Mihawk, the supreme sword swallower, sitting above the 20-sword swallowing style.

However, Imu has been king since this era so the 18 others knew Imu was going to claim the throne so there no reason for Imu to lay his sword down.

After all this is resolved, somehow, I'm hoping for a time skip. 2 more years. No way SHP, Loki, Kidd, Law, Sabo, Yamato or Grand Fleet are ready yet.
Grand Master Gaban, if he survives, perhaps even joined by Grand Master Rayleigh, as haki teachers and sword play.
Let BB become new PK during this time.

Got to thinking; Why isn't Imu mentioning Dragon and focusing on a dead brother and Sabo, his dad's underling.
Feels like he's particularly focusing on Luffy being a member of a trio of brothers.
What'er the odds Joyboy, Davy Jones and Imu had developed a brotherly bond and were a trio as well?

How would you even propose Shanks learns about the COC blast? Gaban doesn't know it either, since he disabled neither Imu nor Haralds power yet. Rayleigh doesn't seem too, since he didn't use it against Kizaru or Blackbeard. Roger didn't use it against DR Rocks.....
Maybe it's not a real power, and for some reason Joyboy's COC can mess with the abyss but not Imcel's actual DF powers

As someone who is waiting for Gyaban to go down, and then Shanks to save him (with a Loki Hybrid in the middle possibly)...
I still maintain the funniest thing that can happen here is Kaido and Linlin showing up and saving Luffy from Imu
