Dunno if I'm misreading the raw but I looks like Imu was initially going for Luffy when Gaban went his final attack. So Imu didn't straight up get bested in direct CQC like I assumed. Still a great feat as it got Imu clenching his teeth/grimacing and he couldn't properly block it even after noticing it. That move would fuck up any top tier badly

It's especially insane because we've never seen CoC lighting used to actually injure someone. And it went through not only the double-weapon block but also an omen barrier (which previously nullified Thorheim).

God-damned, did Gaban just slice Adam Tree with his CoC alone!? It wasn't even an active attack with his his axe just basic CoC but more focused.

I think this is the most impressive CoC showing in the series, only Joyboy Haki in Egghead and Shanks Haki against green bull could rival it. Thinking about it now, it's the same CoC application as those two examples, a CoC lightning focused attack.

Always thought that Dragon Damanation is better for us Zoro bros if it was a flying haki beam but most Zoro bros insisted that it was a close up strike

I don't know why thats not a possibility tho.
Cuz we've seen Onigiri on KOH got turnt into flying attack beam.

Imu was going to DR Luffy and Loki and have them fight eachother. He clearly wanted one to die, but it didn't seem like it was super obvious to him which one would die.

Kizaru straight up beat Luffy. Even if you take it for granted that Luffy wasn't going all out or whatever, we have canon reasons to assume Kizaru was holding back

Yup. That branch also crushed an Elbaphian mountain or two. Like, Oda's size scaling is hilariously inconsistent, but I would put this above old Garp's Galaxy Divide in terms of destructive power. And Adam tree wood is >>>>> mere stone:
