Speculations Since when is being stabbed a big deal for an Emperor?

Whitebeard took *countless* hits.
- Countless because I'm unwilling to actually state every wound he had.

Kaido got stabbed several times.
- Killer did a move where he basically skewered Kaido's body.

Big Mom got sliced through the head/neck.
- Law sliced through her neck and then did internal damage which supposedly does more than external damage does.

Conclusion, Luffy being stabbed a couple times isn't a big deal, and it's actually absurd to think it is.

You have to remember that Oda has a history of repeating stuff like this.

Did Luffy die when Lucci used a Finger Pistol to pierce his body? Nope.
You ignoring body types?

Luffy, Shanks, Mihawk, Roger, Garp, Gaban - all will get severely wounded/weakened to stabbing.

You need to consider the size ratio and the fact that the swords have special effects lol

Normal stab wounds are already devastating for human high tiers/top tiers.

If you aren't Kaido, Big Mom, Whitebeard or a guy like Jack that's pretty much a one shot.

I think it's honestly a great feat from Luffy.

You guys use relational aggression and depend on each other to make points.

It's a weak man's type of aggressive defense.

As I've said before, Imu uses archaic weapons. Those old "legendary" weapons are archaic. They're 800 years old. They're "the best" of their time, but time isn't their friend.
