I feel that had I been able to change things, I probably would have had Killingham be a God’s Blade brought in for his abilities to conjure up big monster things and keep hostages aslumber, with a different character for Sanji's foe, and Usopp's big role would be to find where Killingham was hiding and snipe him.

Unfortunately, with foes requiring only Conqueror's Haki alone to face, there's really nothing else to do, but this. As him hurting Imu would be absurd.
not saying he should attack imu (or rather, succeed in attacking him) but would it really be THAT absurd when Hajrudin could overpower him?

Depends. Him sniping an Omen bullet about to catch Luffy unaware would be fine.

But he's still a normal human. Hajrudin is a sloppy brute of a fighter, but a guy with 10,000 ton PSI punches is still something to be wary of. If you're familiar with boxing, think of a Earnie Shavers type.

boxing/fighting is one of two sports i'm really into, along with basketball
so i get what you mean, but i don't think giant strength matters quite as much as people think when they're up against other superhuman characters
xebec was practically a normal dude against harald yet he still matched him physically
but yeah i doubt he'll actually clash with imu in any matter, he'll just distract him or redirect a bullet somehow

Right, physical strength is obviously important, but not everything. Burgess probably was stronger then Sabo, but Sabo was a better martial artist.

So, yeah, Hajrudin played a part last chapter...but notably, did not do so this one, as he's too big to avoid those Omen attacks and that was enough for him.

i imagine sabo has crazy physical strength even beyond burgess, but it's one of those things where the way oda designs a character makes them look weaker than they really are
like with garp for example you can tell that it'd hurt like hell if he even lightly tapped you with his fist, whereas roger is fit but doesn't look nearly as muscular, despite having just as much physical strength as garp
oda is just weird like that

Well, hey, look at Spider-Man. He's usually lean and lithe, but there was that run where Doctor Octopus was in his mind (er...don't ask), and he literally punches The Scorpion's jaw off.
