Basically.... Zoro got zero powerups this arc.

He already had the ability, which was accidentally unlocked when he let all of his haki flow out with Enma.
He didn't know what it was, he didn't realize what he was doing, nor did he understand how to use it at will.

The entire struggle with Sommers, is to simply figure out for oneself about how exactly to cut an onion with a knife... when your knife is already sharp enough and you have knowledge on how to cut the onion.

All he needed was "Aha this is Conquerors Haki" after bullying Sommers for a chapter or two without realizing what tool in his toolbox to use.

I concur, Oda nerfed him by making him a retard to bring him back to the same level he was in Wano. There is no upgrade here, everything he uses now, he was using with KoH before as well

But now Sanji has to catch up, so has to pretend like Zoro doesn't know CoC.

exo + IJ = KoH with unconscious/unstable aCoC

I think Imu's Power is the Devil Fruit, not necessarily all the Demon shit.

We pretty much know other demons exist from Nami and Rodo's discussion about the country that uses magic circles to summon Demons when they were in Aurust Castle.

I think Teach's Yami Awakening will let him do Demon shit like Imu, and make contracts/push Haki into people. Use the Abyss, make Contracts.

Also want to see what happens when Teach reaches Davy Jones' Locker, which I think will be through the Abyss/Yami Awakening.

One odd thing about this chapter is how Sommers apparently stopped defending himself for no reason lol. This dude overpowered a Dragon Damnation (Oda even exactly drew the haki trails the same way) but at the next chapter, Zoro was merely using this guy as a training tool and... nothing is really going on? The entire two chapters are written like Oda forgot everything else before lol.

The writing this arc, especially last 10-20 chapters, has been indefensible.

A benefit of doubt would be that Sommers can react to straight forward attacks from Zoro, but not when Zoro is using his CQC skills properly.
However, Loda is not worthy of that benefit of doubt, he likely just wants to pretend that never happened or forgot....
