oda didnt want to give him a powerboost this arc because the only thing left for him to go to a legitimate top tier is one more significant boost so he repackages this as his coc arc so there's something left for the janitor.

Laws abilities, the one Doflamingo wanted, could be absurdly effective vs HK. Probably couldn't destroy the hearts himself but I do wonder what would happen if he simply removed their heard and travelled 20 km east? Would the body still function? Could also just give them to Luffy to destroy.

Law's abilities are absolutely perfect to counter HKs

1. Scan to find mechanical hearts
2. Shambles to take em
3. Amputate to sever their body parts, no damage technically, so they have to be pieced back together

If there is a devil fruit that can do anything. It's Ope ope fruit the 5 billion berryass fruit which can grant a god like Imu even immortality. I can imagine it modify a body to stop even the likes of regeneration

An in character Gai isn't instantly gonna go to the 8th gate, and Itachi can defeat him in that time. He could have put down the likes of Orochimaru if it weren't for his regeneration in that time.

I don't know about that. If Hebi Sasuke can partially outrun Amaterasu for a little while, then 6th/7th Gate Gai should absolutely be able to avoid getting tagged for long enough to launch a counter.

The issue isn't necessarily speed, it's just knowing the attack is coming. If he's looking at floor level, he could miss an Ameratsu

Guy would start AT LEAST 6th Gate off the bat against an opponent like Itachi. And 6th Gate can probably dance circles around Itachi, he was dancing around several V2 jinchuriki with it

Itachi would try to counter with genjutsu and clones. Clones wont work. Finger genjutsu could, and that is Itachi's best bet but theres a plausible argument to be said that Gates can counter genjutsu due to the limiters being off constantly pumping chakra and making it unstable

Amaterasu wont work, too slow. Tsukuyomi wont work, Guy will avoid eye contact. And if Susano comes out, so will 7th gate and it's Hirudora time

If we put up their best, MS vs 7th Gate, I choose 7th Gate every single time (8th gate excluded)
