General & Others Is Oda pushing Zoro vice captain title ?

#8
Will Oda go down that route? Who knows.

Should he? Yeah, no doubt.

If Rayleigh, Jinbei, Oden, Killer and Ben Beckman all managed to become Vice Captains (partner or little brother are just synonyms for Vice Captain here) then Zoro definitely deserves it as well. Vergo would be another one. All of them are above YC1 in their relationship to Captain and Crew. They are Vice Captains. And so is Zoro.

I think it would be really nice to see

We were all waiting to see him lead the Wano samurai and that never happened

Would be cool to see more leadership moments from him before he’s given the title of “Vice Captain” in verse

It wouldn’t be “official” though probably, since I have a really hard time believing Luffy would ever sit down and tell the whole crew “yeah Zoro’s the vice captain so you all HAVE to listen to him now”

Absolutely hope so. Zoro is natural born leader after all.
Since WHEN?

Sword swallowers love to say this shit, but it only makes sense if your criteria for leadership is looking tough and aurafarming.

Zoro is a capable but reluctant leader. He was a lone wolf when Luffy found him. He will likely a lone wolf after the crew disbands. He might have travel companions, like Johnny and Yosaku, but he’s not going to be interested in forming and leading a group.

A lot of y’all just stan a version of Zoro that doesn’t exist.

Since he told the agents of Baroque Works that he would join only if he becomes their leader.
He gains followers the same way Kaido does, either those he beats into submission or those who respect his strength.
That's why Vice Captain is not for Zoro, because he is a captain or nothing.

And you think he was serious about leadership? :kobeha:

He gains followers the same way Kaido does, either those he beats into submission or those who respect his strength.
WHAT followers, Johnny and Yosaku?

Kaidō was a capable and successful leader of men for decades. He wanted to gather a group and lead.

Zoro is nothing like that.

That's why Vice Captain is not for Zoro, because he is a captain or nothing.
You’re describing a formal position as if it’s vibes based. It’s not, and even if it were, he’s competitive with Nami for distant third.
