UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham said he would be “really concerned” if Manchester City’s owners sold the club following an independent commission’s finding that the club breached more than 100 Premier League rules.

Burnham praised City’s owners for their investment in Manchester, saying the City Football Group and its wider ownership had been a "huge partner" in the development of the city and the football club.
:milaugh:

ManC is definitely keeping the titles and possibly will save itself from relegations

He's speaking from Politicians perspective.

Which politician want to risk billions and billions of investment from one of your biggest cities?

I want City to be punished but they didn't do anything different from what all the big clubs did 15, 20, or 30+ years ago.

We know what Roman did at Chelsea, we know that Morati spent 1.5 billion at Inter, we know what was happening in La Liga with Madrid/Barca huge loans, Silvio's Milan etc etc.

There are countless examples.

The Arabs at City were simply foolish to do it later than the others.

Had they done it a few years earlier everything would have been fine.

2008 is probably the earliest year they could buy a club tbh

Post 9-11 dynamics was very intense for any wealthy Arabs to pour money

That will require billions btw
Nah

UAE can offer a good deal to Trump which is win win for both Trump and UAE and can pitch in this city thing as a bonus.

UAE will definitely approach UK administration on the issue and if the administration intends to interfere which I believe they will because no sports operate as completely independent from political landscape, then the administration will try to squeeze in more investments to sort out this City issue.

But... First commision has found City guilty on 115 charges. It would be hard to turn this down now. Public opinions often influence the judgements as well. So, even after the political interference it would be nearly impossible to clear Man City of all charges.

What they can do is tone down serious offences like sham contracts and then hold City guilty on other charges to punish them resulting into financial penalties and limited points deductions.

And, if PL actually holds City guilty on all accounts then city is likely to be met with atleast 230 points deduction or even 345 points deduction. Such massive points deduction will guarantee relegation and even if they makes a return in a year and if these deductions carry forward then in that scenario they would be relegated again. PL will suffer financial losses as well.

I mean this club threw out KDB even after he offered to take pay cut and reduced playtime.

Players naturally will not have any loyalty to this club.

Haaland is pretty stupid to sign that contract till 2034 too.
City follows financial rules and regulations of PL strictly. They focused on clearing high salary aging contracts to respect financial rules and get fresh legs to build team for future as well. :optimistic:

Did you miss the part that says KDB was willing to take pay cut to stay and in recent documentary he cried when he find out Shitty ain't renewing his contract.
