This is the same manga where just two arcs after Lucci lost to Luffy extreme diff, a single Pacifista pushed THE ENTIRE CREW to extreme diff, and two arcs after that we saw random fodder Whitebeard Pirate allies (not even dudes who are members of the actual crew, just allies) fucking up Pacifistas en masse.
The only reason they deny this is because it makes the Warlords look bad. That's it. There's a reason why only Warlord wankers do this, it's because the second they admit powercreep is real is the second they have to admit that Oda clearly put emphasis on characters like Jack and Katakuri having a bounty equal to or above 1B after giving Luffy and Law 1B for defeating Doflamingo, because he wanted the readers to come to the conclusion that Jack, Katakuri, King, Queen, Marco, Jinbe and others are above Doflamingo.

I wonder if Oda is gonna pull some nonsense to drag out the Sommers fight, whether that be him getting another handout or pulling some trick. Because I don’t see what’s stopping this fight from just ending atp

Thing is, Sommers was a fun antagonist.
Having him be simply aura farming material for Zoro is just lame. Same thing could have been accomplished with Killingham.
Would much rather have Sommers vs Sanji still.

Because the thing is, the HKs legit fell flat. The fact that they are mere training tools when Imu himself is in the island facing off Luffy feels even more lame.
HKs flexed on random island giants, some giant teachers, and then Gunko rekt the non-M3 SHs. that's it. Everywhere else they fell flat.
Even GunkImu fell flat.
Wings get scraps. Non-M3 SHs dont even get that.
It's kinda annoying. Why bother having a giant protagonist cast if only the MC matters?

Thats cause that was a direct clash that used Sword ability to overpower. What Zoro did last chapter was just blitz him cause he way faster than him.

- Characters pointing out that HKs are bums

- They got significant power boost with Omen and legendary weapons.

- Sommers overpowering Zoro's strongest/2d strongest attack to date.

- Somehow still getting low diffed by even CoCless Zoro.

I genuinely do not understand why Oda even bothered giving Sommers that DD feat atp.
