Oda stated that Jinbe’s ethnicity is Indian for some reason. Feels like he just decided it by throwing at a dartboard tbh but it is what it is.
Oda also gave all of Africa to Usopp because he’s also kinda racist, so I guess he couldn’t choose any African country for the same reason why had to assign ochre as Jinbe’s color, even though it should clearly be blue, because he didn’t want to retcon Sanji’s color from blue to yellow

I didn't remember the canon races/ethnicities/nationalities of any of the Straw Hats besides Luffy, Zoro, Usopp, Sanji, Franky and Robin honestly
Also I'd argue Oda is very racist, although it's often not deliberate, given that whole thing where he made Otihime beg a dude not to kill a CD even though the obvious answer to that would have been to just kill him.

Wait some people actually believed that sanjis eyebrows changing is when he uses his mutated Germa abilities? Lol the eyebrow thing is solely a personality change. We know this based on the fact that prior to the eyebrow change sanjis mutation was already helping him bend his bones back in place and increasesingnhis durability when queen had hit his head with his sword
