Nah the shanks flashback makes this scene so much better cause it establishes Luffy knows exactly what he’s talking about.

It's not that, it's that it feels a little like Oda actively telling us "Hey remember how Shanks saved Luffy's life? That's how Luffy knows to tell Sanji this! He's speaking from experience!"
It doesn't ruin it and I don't believe it's really a problem but maybe it'd have been better if it was cut out. Just a little more subtle.

I get why Oda didn't do it since that would make him a completed character and it'd be hard to write him from then on
Not the first time I've seen this happen, but it does make him stagnant which is arguably even worse

It would be Absolute Cinema if they shows Sora's flashback before Sanji unlocks Conqueror's Haki.
